Abril Plasencia Queralt,

Our manager, Marta Losada Martin, takes part in a new episode of Moving ON, titled “The Future of Mobility is Female.” In her role as leader of MELYT – Women in Logistics and Transport in the Catalonia region, she has participated in a space for reflection on the integration of a gender perspective in mobility planning and management.

This episode addresses one of the major challenges in the mobility, transport, and logistics sector: how to design more inclusive, safe, and efficient transport systems. Although women represent a fundamental part of everyday mobility, they continue to have a low level of representation in decision-making, planning, and leadership spaces.

The episode features leading professionals such as Raquel Díaz Caro from Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona, who shares an interview on female leadership in the sector, and Sara Ortiz Escalante from Col·lectiu Punt 6, who focuses on care-related mobility and on tools such as exploratory walks to analyze public space from women’s everyday experiences.

Additionally, the episode includes a panel discussion to further explore the role of women in the mobility, public transport, and logistics sector. Participants include Beatriz Pérez Llorca, head of labor law at ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Margarita Martínez Díaz, PhD in Civil Engineering and professor at UPC School, and our manager, Marta Losada Martín. Together, they discuss the structural changes needed to move towards a more equitable mobility system.

At Cluster Catalonia Logistics, we value participation in initiatives like this that foster debate and knowledge generation, thereby helping to drive a more inclusive and sustainable sector forward.
